Photographer Raihan Vadra, son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Wednesday said that Bikaner House had “forced” him to remove photos of the youth protests in Delhi from his solo exhibition at the arts and cultural centre.
The Rajasthan government runs the Bikaner House in Delhi.
Raihan Vadra said that the venue’s management had described his photographs as “objectionable”. He claimed that they had also asked him to remove two photos of the national flag, which he refused.
He told PTI that the management removed one of the photographs of the Indian flag while he was not at the venue.
“Five hours ago, the Bikaner House management forced me to remove the bulk of the artworks displayed in my show No Idea Is Final which opens this evening at 7 pm,” Raihan Vadra wrote in a social media post on Wednesday. “The show will go on in part for now, but I will find another venue and display the entire collection of protest photos.”
