Woongjin Preed Life has signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Life Insurance to cooperate on developing new service products, joint marketing and designing customer benefits.
The two companies will roll out their first joint offering, a health care service, as early as the end of this month. It will cover non-medical health consultations, nurse escorts for visits to tertiary general hospitals, senior care and caregiving.
The service is designed to provide support in stages, from routine health management to care following a diagnosis of a serious illness. The aim is to ease the burden on families who must handle hospital visits and caregiving for elderly parents on their own.
"Through this partnership with Samsung Life Insurance, we will ease the care burden on customers and their families and establish ourselves as a total life care platform that accompanies people from the beginning to the end of life," said Moon Ho-sang, chief executive of Woongjin Preed Life.
Woongjin Preed Life has diversified this year, entering the premium wedding hall market and launching a chartered cruise product, while also opening new funeral halls, Shilnakwon Seoul Jejung and Anyang.
