The DOOD token, the utility token tied to the Doodles NFT project, jumped 212% in a 24-hour window on October 21, 2026. That lifted its market capitalization to around $38 million, according to CoinGecko.
The rally came with no official news from the Doodles team.
A big day for a quiet token
Other data sources put DOOD’s market cap between $35 million and $37 million.
Trading volume tells the more striking story. Reported 24-hour volume reached approximately $213 million, far exceeding the token’s entire market value.
The Doodles NFTs themselves got a lift too, though a much gentler one. Floor prices for the collection rose about 6%.
Even after the surge, DOOD settled near $0.0046. Its all-time high, set in October 2025, sat somewhere around $0.0175 to $0.018.
Where DOOD came from
Doodles started life as a 10,000-piece NFT collection. Over time it has grown into a broader ecosystem that includes governance, community incentives, and an engagement-focused utility token.
DOOD launched on May 9, 2025, with a total supply of 10 billion tokens. Approximately 7.8 billion are now in circulation.
Thirty percent of total supply was airdropped to existing Doodles NFT holders.
Why the liquidity picture matters
Order-book depth on major exchanges such as Gate.io was thin, according to the research findings, raising concerns about liquidity.
What this means for traders and the Doodles ecosystem
For short-term traders, the absence of any project announcement is the key detail. Price moves backed by product launches, partnerships, or token utility updates at least have a narrative to lean on. This one, so far, does not.
For the Doodles brand, the episode is a reminder of how tightly NFT projects and their tokens can be linked in market psychology. The 6% bump in NFT floor prices suggests some spillover, but the gap between that gain and the token’s 212% jump shows collectors were far more restrained than token traders.
