Cybersecurity firm Softcamp (258790.KQ) is touring major Japanese cities to deepen ties with local partners and significantly expand its sales network.
Softcamp said on the 20th that it held the first session of "Softcamp Japan Partner Day 2026" in Tokyo on the 16th.
The program runs four times in total, starting in Tokyo and moving through Fukuoka and Nagoya before closing again in Tokyo. The company plans to meet partners in each region directly to assess security needs among local customers and discuss joint sales and technical support.
At the opening session in Tokyo, the company demonstrated Shield Gate, a secure remote access service built on remote browser isolation (RBI) technology that is its flagship product in Japan, and Shield DRM, a cloud document security orchestration solution. It introduced features for secure access to work systems and document protection in cloud environments, and shared ways to deploy the solutions according to each customer's security setup.
The session also covered new security threats emerging from the spread of artificial intelligence and strategies to counter them. In a presentation titled "Korea's AI Industry and AI Security Trends," held at the office of Softcamp's Japanese unit, the company examined the risks of information leaks and external attacks that can arise when AI is used, and discussed related security responses.
Sales strategies aimed at Japan's public sector and local government market were also shared. Kazunobu Isomura, lead specialist at Itochu Techno-Solutions (CTC), a Japanese IT services company, and Yukimi Uno, senior specialist at the same firm, spoke on approaches to pitching Softcamp's solutions to local customers and converting them into business opportunities.
A question-and-answer session and networking period followed, where participants exchanged views on product adoption and technical support and explored ways to work together in meeting customer demand by region.
Softcamp plans to broaden its product lineup at the remaining sessions to strengthen partners' competitiveness in sales. At the Fukuoka event in particular, it will additionally present solutions from Redpensoft, a subsidiary specializing in software supply chain security. The aim is to extend a lineup centered on access and document security into software supply chain security and respond to a wider range of customer needs.
Softcamp said it will use the tour to strengthen cooperation with partners in each region, while feeding customer requirements identified on the ground into follow-up sales and technical support to expand business opportunities in the Japanese market.
