The bridge collapsed shortly before midnight on the night of September 30. No one was injured, but the bridge was extensively damaged. The Swedish Transport Administration has not been able to say when traffic will be able to resume.
The truck remained on the bridge until Thursday. Police have now inspected it and determined that it was not overloaded and was travelling at the posted speed when crossing the bridge. The investigation is therefore being closed.
