CBCNEI disclaims false recruitment, urges public caution

Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) has issued an official public clarification cautioning against the unauthorized use of its name and logo by certain external entities for promotional recruitment. In a notification issued on October 23, 2026, by Rev Dr Namseng R Marak, Secretary General of CBCNEI, the council stated that entities identifying as "ISO-Organisation's of US/UK Government of Central Mission, ISO-International Guwahati Christian Revival Forum" located at R.K. Mission Road, Birubari, Assam (PIN 781016), have been improperly and without authorization using its name and logo to encourage students and the public to join their institutions. The notice pointed out that the acronym CBCNEI was also incorrectly written by these entities as 'Christian Baptist Churches North East India' instead of its correct expansion, 'Council of Baptist Churches in North East India'. Clarifying its stance, CBCNEI stated that any claims, advertisements, or statements implying an official partnership, endorsement, or affiliation with the council are completely false and misleading.
