The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, has pledged to deliver massive votes for the president in the 2027 general election.
Mr Masari urged members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council to prioritise grassroots mobilisation, discipline and measurable electoral results.
He made the call on Wednesday in Abuja at the inauguration of the council, where he assured the president that the votes the council would secure for him would surpass the combined votes of opposition parties.
Mr Masari described the assignment as a sacred trust, urging members to take the campaign to polling units, wards, local governments and communities across the country.
“Stop talking to yourselves and start talking to the people,” he said, warning members against excessive meetings, inflated electoral claims and promises not backed by verifiable grassroots results.
He said members would be assessed based on their actual performance, stressing that political influence must translate into tangible electoral gains.
The presidential aide also urged members to avoid internal divisions, hate speech and personal grievances that could undermine the party’s chances in the election.
He charged the Director-General of the council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, with ensuring unity, effective coordination and consistent messaging among members.
Mr Masari said the campaign should communicate the administration’s policies and interventions in economic reform, education, healthcare and infrastructure while addressing the concerns of Nigerians with facts.
He also called for responsible political participation, urging parties to respect electoral laws, reject misinformation and focus their campaigns on issues affecting citizens.
The presidential aide urged Nigerians to scrutinise campaign promises and participate peacefully in the electoral process.
“The task before us is clear: to turn our convictions into action, our organisation into mobilisation, and our mobilisation into votes,” he said.
He urged members of the council to demonstrate discipline, accountability and commitment as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
