Two of three men who carried out the theft of almost one million euros' worth of Bulgari jewellery in Palma a year ago have been sentenced to terms of three years and nine months and four years and three months respectively. The whereabouts of the third man remain unknown.
On October 2, 2025 around 4pm, they began to monitor a delivery driver. They watched as jewellery was collected from the Bulgari shop on Passeig Born. When the driver parked his van on C. Bonaire to continue his rounds, they sprang into action. They drilled a hole next to the lock, allowing them to access the opening mechanism. Within minutes, they managed to seize the shipment of high-end jewellery valued at 973,000 euros.
The robbery on October 2 was part of a spree that the two men, both from Ecuador, and the third individual had started in Inca on September 24. Between September 29 and October 1, they broke into three vehicles in Palma, stealing goods valued at approximately 4,700 and 5,100 euros from two of them, while an attempt on another vehicle in the city proved unsuccessful. On October 2, hours before the Bulgari theft, they stole from a vehicle on C. General Riera in Palma.
They used rented vehicles to watch delivery drivers and concealed the holes they had drilled by covering them with circular stickers that matched the colour of the vehicles.
