With the preseason schedule wrapped up and the start of the regular-season only days away, the Golden State Warriors opened the doors of Chase Center on Sunday to host fans for an open practice. At one of the final rehearsals before the start of the long-awaited regular-season, the fans in attendance and the Warriors received a scare on Sunday while watching open practice.
After bringing the ball up the floor in a scrimmage, Steph Curry appeared to suffer an injury. The two-time Most Valuable Player appeared to injure someting with his leg, slowly limping off the court and into the locker room as the Chase Center crowd went quiet.

Following practice, Steve Kerr told reporters at Chase Center that Curry suffered an ankle injury, not a knee injury. Although he exited practice, Kerr said that Curry told him he is "fine."
Curry suffering an ankle injury and avoiding any knee issues is a positive sign for the Warriors. The All-Star point guard missed 39 games last season after suffering patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee) in his right knee. Curry missed over two months, including 27 consecutive games due to his knee injury last season.
The Warriors are just three days away from opening the regular season on wednesday night against Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers in Hollywood. If Curry is unable to suit up for the regular-season opener, De'Anthony Melton, Brandon Williams and Gary Payton II will line up in Golden State's backcourt alongside Brandin Podziemski.
