MLB fans are flocking to their televisions to watch the ALCS and NLCS as October baseball is in full swing. Among those is Orioles manager Craig Albernaz and his wife Genevieve and their three young children ages 10 and under: CJ, Norman, and Gigi.
Genevieve Albernaz took to social media to call out HBO Max for the network’s commercial selections during Game 2 of the ALCS which began at 8 PM EDT.

What Genevieve Albernaz said
She wrote: “Hey @tntsports how about we not advertise HBO Max horror movies at 8:20 during the ALCS while my kids are watching?! What are we doing?!”
Albernaz has a point. If MLB wants to grow its fanbase with early evening playoff games, the commercials should be carefully thought out.

Albernaz is not the only one with this criticism
Others have taken notice.
A fan shared a similar complaint. “Hey @MLB – wanna get more kids watching baseball? Maybe start with the commercials. Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here’s the rundown: – Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit – The scariest movie trailer you’ve ever seen – Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports”
Another fan added: “I never thought I’d long for more gambling ads, but this rotation of explicit ED commercials mixed with “Other Mommy” trailers for the @MLB playoffs has me yelling “close your eyes!” to my kids more times than I can count.”
