Hoosiers Daily News: Men’s basketball shows its rebounding prowess against Butler

Indiana men’s basketball’s new-look roster in the Hoosiers’ second season under Darian DeVries looks to be the program’s best rebounding unit in quite some time.

That was clear on paper between 7’2” center Samet Yigitoglu and 7’ forward Aiden Sherrell. It became clearer in practice when Indiana powered its way to a 53-33 rebounding advantage over Butler in a 96-68 win over the Bulldogs in exhibition play on Sunday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

There’s more exhibitions to come, with Indiana set to take on North Carolina at Gainbridge Fieldhouse this coming Sunday. We’ll get to see even more of what this roster can do on the glass in practice before the games start counting.
