SimplyCook and Amity Brew Co are raising a glass to curry night with the launch of SimplyJuicy, a limited-edition pale ale created to accompany SimplyCook’s new Curry House Collection.
The collaboration brings together SimplyCook’s flavour-packed approach to home cooking with independent craft brewery Amity Brew Co, pairing a curry-house-inspired feast with a cold craft beer made for sharing. It comes as new research from SimplyCook reveals more than eight in 10 Brits are making fakeaways at home, with one in five recreating Indian dishes themselves.
The SimplyCook Curry House Collection features four recipe kits: Bombay Biryani, Jalfrezi, Moghul Korma and Saag Curry, offering flavours ranging from rich and creamy to hot and punchy. Each kit contains expertly blended, pre-portioned flavour ingredients, helping home cooks create curry-house flavours using their own fresh ingredients, without needing a cupboard full of spices. Designed for cosy nights in, fakeaway feasts with friends or simply adding variety to the midweek menu, the collection aims to bring the curry house experience home.
The first 100 customers to order the SimplyCook Curry House Collection will receive a link to redeem two limited-edition SimplyJuicy Pale Ales. Brewed by Amity Brew Co, SimplyJuicy is a 4.6 per cent ABV, 440ml juicy pale ale made with Motueka, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. It features bright lime and tropical fruit flavours, with notes of papaya and pineapple balanced by a refreshing bitterness. The beer has been designed to pair with bold, aromatic curries, cutting through richer sauces while complementing warming spices.
Amity Brew Co head brewer Tom Summerscales said: “A great curry night deserves a great beer alongside it. SimplyJuicy has been brewed to complement the bold, layered flavours of an Indian banquet without competing with the food.
“Bright, juicy and refreshing, SimplyJuicy brings notes of zesty lime, papaya and pineapple, with a clean, refreshing bitterness that makes it a great partner for everything from rich and creamy kormas to hotter, punchier curries. SimplyCook brings the feast, we bring the beer – it’s a pretty unbeatable night-in combination.”
The SimplyCook Curry House Collection is available for £15, currently on offer for £12. The first 100 eligible customers will receive a digital link to redeem two limited-edition SimplyJuicy Pale Ales.
Vicki Christie, Head of Marketing at SimplyCook, said: “We recently asked 2,000 Brits about their dining habits and found the traditional takeaway night is increasingly being recreated at home, with more than eight in ten Brits making fakeaways and one in five recreating Indian food themselves.
“Our Curry House Collection is about making your home the curry house, with big flavours and a table full of food to share. Partnering with Amity Brew Co on SimplyJuicy brings the whole thing together, a brilliant Indian feast, a cold craft beer and an easy night in that feels anything but everyday.”
