Bitcoin Price Today
Bitcoin trades at USD 82,565.48, up 1.0% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Its market capitalization stands near USD 1.66 trillion, while 24-hour volume reached USD 22.66 billion. Below is today's quote roundup from leading crypto desks.
CoinSwitch: Whales Keep Buying
CoinSwitch Markets Desk said Bitcoin continues to consolidate between USD 81,000 and USD 82,000. Wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC added nearly 86,000 BTC since mid-September, signaling sustained whale buying. Expanded US Treasury bond buyback plans could further improve market liquidity, keeping ETF flows in focus.
Mudrex: Selling Intent Weakens
Prateek Gupta, Head of Business at Mudrex, said Bitcoin recovered near USD 82,500 after Warsh's remarks eased tightening worries. Only 4.4% of coins held for six to 12 months are moving to exchanges, down from 40.4% in June. Support stands at USD 79,500.
WazirX: Ether Lags Bitcoin
Nischal Shetty, Founder of WazirX, said Bitcoin held near USD 82,200 even as the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.14%. Ether slipped 5.22% over seven days, more than double Bitcoin's weekly loss. Light volume of USD 19.3 billion limits conviction in either direction.
Giottus: ETF Outflows Cap Rebound
Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus, said US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw USD 228.4 million in outflows from October 12 to 16. With US inflation at 3.7%, he urged staggered purchases and low leverage. Support sits near USD 81,300, with resistance at USD 84,000 to USD 84,500.

China GDP Beats Estimates
China's economy grew 4.5% year on year in the third quarter, ahead of the 4.3% pace in the second. Retail sales rose 1.1%, more than double the 0.5% forecast, signaling firmer domestic demand in the world's second-largest economy.
Nasdaq futures gained over 1%, Japan's Nikkei climbed 1.8% and Bitcoin moved near USD 82,500. Oil also eased after a Russia sanctions waiver raised supply hopes. Risk assets gained room to recover after last week's heavy technology losses on Wall Street.
Fed Hike Odds Fade After Warsh
Fed Chair Kevin Warsh told an IMF event in Bangkok that he does not prejudge meetings. Traders took the comment as a sign of patience, and October hike odds slipped to roughly 15% from more than 25% on Thursday.
CME FedWatch shows an 84% probability that the Fed holds rates at its October 27 and 28 meeting. The benchmark rate sits at 4.75% to 5% after last month's 25 basis point increase, which keeps policy firmly restrictive.
VIX Jumps as Nasdaq Slides
The VIX surged 21.5% to 19.99 on Friday, its biggest one-day jump since June 5. The Nasdaq fell 2.14% and the S&P 500 lost 1.09% as AI stocks weakened. The Nasdaq closed its worst week since June.
History shows the VIX fell the next Monday in 25 of 32 similar Friday spikes. Bitcoin held above USD 80,000 all weekend. Its BVIV volatility gauge stayed just under 40%, which shows little stress in crypto options.
OKX-ICE Stock Tokens Face Pushback
OKXICE, the venture between OKX and NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange, filed to list tokenized shares of 63 US companies. Issuers get a 30-day window to object under the SEC's temporary framework, which requires tokenized securities to preserve shareholder rights.
Broadcom and Verizon have already objected to the listing, according to CoinDesk. The pushback tests how much control issuers hold over tokenized versions of their own shares. The outcome could shape how quickly on-chain stock trading scales in the US.
Stablecoin Payments Jump 45%
Stablecoin payment volume reached USD 482 billion in the first nine months of the year, up 45%. Total supply rose only 0.4% to about USD 305 billion, so usage is outpacing issuance by a wide margin.
September set a monthly record of USD 72 billion, and transactions jumped 71% to 1.04 billion. Tether and USDC, the two largest stablecoins, hold market caps near USD 183.55 billion and USD 72.49 billion, according to CoinGecko.

Bitcoin trades near USD 82,565, with USD 81,300 as first support and USD 79,500 as the deeper floor. Resistance sits at USD 83,850, followed by USD 84,500. The Fed meeting on October 27 and 28 is the next catalyst. Investors should favor staggered entries and low leverage.
