Walt, the Telegram crypto app formerly known as Wallet in Telegram, now lets users hand perpetual futures trading to AI agents, the company announced Tuesday in a press release shared with Unchained before publication. Users can connect Mira, an agent from Walt’s developer, The Open Platform, or OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude.
According to Walt, a connected agent can pull live perp prices and market news, review a user’s open positions, leverage and liquidation risk, and open or close long and short positions on command. It can also place take-profit and stop-loss orders, run simple rules the user sets, such as dollar-cost averaging, and watch positions around the clock.
Walt said at its Sept. 28 rebrand that AI trading tools would arrive in a separate launch, without giving a date.
Andrew Rogozov, founder and CEO of both Walt and The Open Platform, said trading apps have long been built around “terminals, charts and order tickets that people have to learn how to use,” and that Telegram users are “already holding funds with Walt.”

Limits on the Agents
Walt said an agent can trade only money the user moves into a dedicated account, and it cannot take that money out or send it anywhere else. It places no orders until the user switches execution on. The user sets the agent’s instructions and trading limits, can watch each move it makes, and can cut the connection at any point.
The release does not say what leverage agents can use, what the feature costs, where it is available, or how ChatGPT and Claude link to a Walt account. It also does not name the venue that fills the trades. Walt’s perps launched in April through the decentralized exchange Lighter, with more than 50 markets and leverage of up to 50x, according to The Open Platform.
Leveraged perp positions can be closed out quickly in a sharp move. More than $19 billion in crypto positions was liquidated on Oct. 10, 2025, a one-day record for the crypto market.
Mira and Robinhood
Mira first became available in February, and its developer said in May that it had passed 2 million users, with more than 500,000 monthly actives.
Walt describes itself as used by “tens of millions of people worldwide.” The developer’s April perps announcement put the app’s user count at more than 150 million.
Robinhood unveiled its own AI trading agents last month, also built around a dedicated account, with manual approval of each trade on by default. It described that product as coming soon.
