Taking a leaf out of The Princess of Wales’ book, Meghan Markle has made a case for high-low dressing, pairing a blazer and jeans from M&S with a Chanel bag and nude Jennifer Chamandi heels.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted in west London’s The Park restaurant with her hairstylist, George Northwood. Within the same 24 hours, she supported British luxury fashion label Joseph with a colour-drenched burgundy ensemble.
With its reputation for timeless tailoring and versatile wardrobe staples, it’s no surprise the Duchess of Sussex opted for an M&S outfit. The blazer was showcased in M&S’s 100 years of fashion London Fashion Week show, boasting a tuxedo silhouette and satin lapels. The jeans, M&S’s bestselling Mom silhouette, create a laid-back feel.
An outfit formula that’s easily replicated for the office and beyond: here’s how to shop the look.
Marks & Spencer Peak Lapel Tuxedo Jacket
M&S
M&S’s black tailored blazer boasts satin peak lapels, giving it a tuxedo-inspired finish. Adding a touch of eveningwear glamour to an otherwise relaxed combination, she styled the jacket with straight-leg blue jeans and nude heels. While the M&S blazer is now sold out, New Look’s tuxedo blazer (£49.99, Newlook.com) achieves the same look.
M&S mom ankle grazer jeans
M&S
In a big departure from her Joseph outfit on Wednesday, Meghan paired the M&S blazer with what appear to be mom jeans from the same high street brand. Easy for everyday wear, they come in five finishes for just £30, plus multiple lengths.
