Group lauds Tinubu over courage to embark on economic reforms

The central planning committee and the entire organising committee of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door movement has applauded the courage of President Tinubu to embark difficult reforms across key sectors of the economy.
The group during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, stated that the current reforms being undertaken by the current administration will lay a solid foundation for economic prosperity.
Speaking during the event, the secretary, central planning committee, Engr Jethro Annum, lauded the policy decisions and structural reforms undertaken by President Tinubu’s administration, highlighting their objectives, challenges and implications for Nigeria’s long-term development.
He noted that the reform is focused on key initiatives including fuel subsidy removal, comprehensive tax reforms, the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), financial autonomy for local governments and market liberalisation measures.
Accordding to him, the reforms reflect the administration’s commitment to restructuring public finance, expanding access to education, strengthing grassroot governance, addressing insecurity and creating a more competitive economic environment.
He also stated that the courage to reform explores the leadership decisions and policy choices behind the initiatives.
He emphasised the importance of long-term national development, institutional reforms and economic renewal beyond immediate political consideration.
