A deal struck between OpenAI and Google will see OpenAI’s models coming to Google Cloud and even Antigravity.
Starting “in the coming weeks,” OpenAI’s GPT models will be coming to Google Cloud. OpenAI says that “Google Cloud customers will be able to purchase OpenAI frontier models via the model garden, transacted through the Google Cloud Marketplace.” This enables enterprise customers with “spend commitments” through Google Cloud to use OpenAI’s models if they choose.
The Google Cloud model garden already supports Anthropic Claude models alongside open models and Google’s own Gemini models.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, says:
We are focused on giving customers a broad selection of models, including those from OpenAI, so they can choose the right model for any given job, helping to deliver optimal quality and lower costs.
Also confirmed in today’s announcement is that OpenAI models are coming to Google’s Antigravity tool, as well as Gemini Agent.
Like Cloud’s model garden, Antigravity already supports Anthropic models including Claude Opus & Sonnet 4.6 for free/Plus/trial accounts (until November 2), with Opus & Sonnet 5.5 models available to paid subscribers on Pro and higher tiers.
OpenAI and Google have yet to confirm exactly which GPT models will be coming to Cloud and Antigravity, but it stands to reason that GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol may be included.
