Welcome to the penultimate weekend of October!
It is a little bit of a quiet day, sports-wise, with a few highlights on the docket.
In the college football world, the biggest games of the day are the annual Battle for the Wagon Wheel between Akron and Kent State at 1 p.m., and the nightcap of Ole Miss and future Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Trinidad Chambliss taking on Texas and future backup quarterback Arch Manning at 7:30 p.m.
Staying in Austin, Texas, qualifying for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix takes place at 5 p.m. at the Circuit of the Americas. And for those still interested in baseball, despite the Cleveland Guardians no longer playing, Game 2 of the World Series between Tampa Bay and Milwaukee is at 8 p.m.
Oh, and lest we forget, the Cleveland Cavaliers open up the home portion of their schedule tonight at 7:30 p.m. against Brooklyn.
Other than that, it looks to be a day to get some chores done and rest up for Sunday, when the Cleveland Browns look to hold onto first place in the AFC North Division as they face the Tennessee Titans.
Now that we have the day sorted out, let’s get on with it as we present today’s edition of the Saturday Dawg Chow.
