The tournament will begin on January 21 in Bangladesh and Nepal, with 16 teams competing in 41 matches across four venues.
The third edition of the tournament, which was first held in 2023, will feature four groups of four teams each. Defending champion India has been placed in Group A alongside Ireland, the West Indies, and Nepal.
The teams have been divided into the following groups:
- Group A: India, Ireland, West Indies, and Nepal
- Group B: South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Samoa
- Group C: Australia, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates
- Group D: England, Sri Lanka, United States, and Scotland
The opening day will feature four matches, including co-host Bangladesh’s clash against the UAE. Nepal will begin its campaign against Ireland on January 22, while India will face the West Indies in its opening match.
The matches will be played at Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, TU International Cricket Stadium, and Upper Mulpani International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.
The group stage will continue until January 26, after which the qualifying teams will advance to the Super Six stage. The teams will be divided into two groups, with the top two from each progressing to the semifinals.
Both semifinals will take place on February 4 in Chattogram, with February 5 designated as a reserve day. The final is scheduled for February 6 at 1:30 p.m. local time, while February 7 has been set aside as a reserve day.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said the tournament would provide young players with an opportunity to compete internationally and gain valuable experience.
He added that bringing together 16 teams from established and emerging cricket nations would help develop women’s cricket, showcase young talent, and attract new audiences.
Gupta also expressed confidence in working with Bangladesh and Nepal to deliver a successful tournament and wished all participating teams success in their preparations.
