Ugandan forward James Bogere scored shortly after coming on as a substitute to help Danish side Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF) earn a 1-1 draw against Albania's KF Egnatia in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
Bogere struck in the 49th minute, finding the equaliser just four minutes into the second half after AGF had fallen behind early in the game.
AGF's task had become difficult just three minutes into the match when defender Eric Kahl was sent off, leaving the Danish side to play with 10 men for almost the entire contest.
Egnatia capitalised on their numerical advantage in the 13th minute, with Ildi Gruda putting the Albanian side ahead after being set up by Daniel Adjessa.
Bogere was introduced at half-time and quickly made his impact felt, finishing off a pass from Sebastian Jørgensen to restore parity and give AGF a lifeline.
Despite having fewer players on the pitch, AGF held on to secure a point, frustrating Egnatia, who enjoyed greater possession during the encounter.
The draw gives Bogere another opportunity to make his mark on the European stage as he continues his development in Danish football.
