Oppo has announced the global rollout schedule for ColorOS 17, with the first updates scheduled to arrive on October 29, 2026.
Following recent restructuring, OnePlus and Realme devices will also receive ColorOS 17, with premium phones getting priority before the rollout expands to older flagships, mid-range models, and tablets through the first quarter of 2027.
ColorOS 17 originally debuted with the Find X10 Pro Max series in China. The global launch of the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max is scheduled for October 21, and those models will ship with ColorOS 17 out of the box.

ColorOS 17 Reduces RAM and Rendering Load
ColorOS 17 introduces Oppo’s new Living Flow Design, which expands on the animation work introduced with Parallel Animation in ColorOS 15 and Seamless Animation in ColorOS 16.
The interface uses more translucent visual elements, while interactive components can compress, stretch or bounce when touched.
More importantly, ColorOS 17 introduces a new Unified Rendering Architecture that brings rendering tasks into a single system.
Oppo says this reduces the rendering workload by 25% and lowers RAM usage by 30%.
More Apps Can Stay Open in the Background
The upgraded Laminar Flow Engine also improves system performance.
According to Oppo, ColorOS 17 can keep 25% more apps open in the background.
Gallery thumbnail loading is said to be 50% faster during a cold start, while overall app launch stability improves by 55%.
AI Mind Pilot Can Handle Multi-Step Tasks
ColorOS 17 also expands Oppo’s AI features.
AI Mind Pilot gains an Agent Mode capable of completing more complicated multi-step tasks.
It can organize and rename photos and files based on their content and date.
Users can also ask it to gather photos from previous trips, organize them into albums and even create a vlog from the collected media.
AI Mind Space Gets New Learning and Travel Tools
AI Mind Space can now process documents and video links and convert their contents into structured and searchable information.
The system can also be used for travel planning by combining saved content with destination maps to generate personalized trip plans.
AI Call Guard Can Detect Deepfakes
Another notable addition is AI Call Guard.
The feature performs detection directly on the device and is designed to identify AI-generated face swaps and synthetic voices during calls.
This gives ColorOS 17 another layer of protection against AI-assisted scams and impersonation attempts.
Private Computing Cloud Protects AI Data
Oppo has also introduced a Private Computing Cloud for AI processing.
It uses end-to-end encryption and processes sensitive information inside a secured environment that Oppo says even the company itself cannot access.
ColorOS 17 also adds post-quantum security capabilities to strengthen data transmission.
Rollout Will Happen Gradually
The listed dates mark the beginning of each rollout wave rather than the date every device worldwide will receive the update.
Oppo says releases will happen batch by batch, and timing may vary depending on the device, region and carrier.
Carrier-exclusive models may follow separate schedules, while some listed features can also vary depending on hardware support.
