Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out of their game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday due to a blood clot in his calf.
The Eagles said in a statement on Thursday that Hurts was injured in their Week Four defeat to the Los Angeles Rams on October 4 when he took a boot to his calf area, which led to the discovery of the clot.
The Super Bowl 59 MVP practised on Friday last week, before the team left for London to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hurts played the full game against the Jags, completing 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown in a 19-17 loss, and the Eagles confirmed he practised in the first half of this week before an ultrasound on Wednesday revealed "movement in the small blood clot".
"Out of an abundance of caution, an ultrasound was performed on Saturday following the team's flight to London and walkthrough," the Eagles explained in their statement. "The ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot.
"Our medical staff and doctors in London reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play.
"Doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game and the return flight to Philadelphia."

The Eagles added that they will determine the appropriate course of treatment. There is no timetable on when the 28-year-old might return.
In the meantime, Philadelphia are set to turn to backup QB Tanner McKee against the Panthers.
The Eagles have already dealt with numerous injuries this season, but hope that running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and No 1 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) can return on Sunday.
