Meta has introduced two new flagship AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonderful, expanding its efforts to compete with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. The models build on Muse Spark, which launched in 2026, and are designed to handle personal and professional tasks.
Meta describes the new models as its most advanced AI systems to date. However, access will initially be limited to developers and users who pay monthly subscription fees.
The launch comes as concerns grow over the risks of advanced AI. Several researchers and experts have called for stronger oversight, while the CEOs of OpenAI and Anthropic have urged caution over the pace of development.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, however, believes AI companies can manage these risks themselves. In a recent interview, he said responsible development could help prevent the worst effects of artificial intelligence.
Meta describes Muse Wonder as a premium AI model with advanced capabilities and greater processing power. It will initially be available to developers through the Meta Model API. Subscription plans range from $20 to $100 per month. The model also introduces two features, Active Memory and Active Focus, designed to improve how AI handles information and tasks.
Active Memory allows the model to retain details from previous conversations and retrieve them when needed. Meta says the system has been trained to avoid sharing private information without permission, helping protect user privacy.
Meanwhile, Active Focus is designed to help AI agents complete technical tasks more effectively. Meta says these features improve the model’s ability to support users across different workflows.Muse Wonderful is positioned as a more powerful model with additional capabilities. Unlike Muse Wonder, it is primarily aimed at businesses and enterprise users.
The model will initially be available only to developers, with monthly subscription plans ranging from $50 to $200. Meta has not provided further details about its wider availability.
With these releases, Meta is expanding its paid AI offerings as competition intensifies across the industry. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google are also developing increasingly capable models for consumers, developers, and businesses.
