South African singer Zonke has postponed her upcoming solo concert following a bereavement in her family. The news was shared via her verified Instagram account on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, accompanied by an official press release from her label, Leely Music.
The Evergreen in Concert was set to take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on Saturday, 24 October 2026. The show has now been moved to Saturday, 13 February 2027, giving fans a new date to look forward to while the vocalist takes time to grieve with her loved ones.
Tickets and refunds for The Evergreen in concert
Zonke addressed ticket holders directly in her post, reassuring fans that their purchases will not go to waste. "Your tickets are valid for the new date that will be released; those who want a refund, please visit Webtickets 🩷," she wrote.
Ticket prices for the concert range from R1 000 to R3 500, and all existing Webtickets remain valid for the rescheduled February date. Those who cannot attend the new date are able to request a refund through the Webtickets platform.
Zonke's journey to The Evergreen
Zonke, widely regarded as one of South Africa's most soulful voices, has built a loyal following over the years through her deeply personal brand of music. The Evergreen in Concert was shaping up to be a milestone moment for the artist, promising a personal evening at one of Johannesburg's most prestigious venues.
The postponement, while disappointing for fans, reflects the personal nature of the setback. Leely Music confirmed in the press release that the decision was made out of respect for the bereavement the singer is currently navigating.
Thandiswa pulls out of concert
In a previous report from Briefly News, Thandiswa Mazwai withdrew from Macufe 2026, joining Salif Keita after concerns over xenophobic violence.
