MSI’s RTX 5060 gaming laptop with 16GB DDR5 is down to $1,249

Free time is limited, budgets are tight, so when you manage to carve out a bit of time for gaming, you should do it right. That can be tough if your gaming machine sucks, and upgrading has been hard this past year what with the massive price spikes on hardware. Right now, B&H is selling an MSI Cyborg A15 gaming laptop for $1,249, which is $250 off its MSRP—maybe not the most dramatic discount we’ve ever seen, but that’s a solid drop at a time when gaming laptop deals have all but dried up.

Inside, you’ll find an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor paired with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB SSD, a hardware combination that’s increasingly hard to get at an affordable price. But it’s the RTX 5060 that stands out here, bringing enough graphical power to enjoy your PC games at more than 30 FPS, assuming you’re okay gaming at 1080p and employing Nvidia’s DLSS features like frame generation. The IPS display goes up to 144Hz of refresh, so visuals will be smooth and responsive.

Some caveats to note before you buy. Its 55 watt-hour battery isn’t huge, and it drains pretty fast when unplugged. This isn’t the best laptop if you’re going to be doing work on it and will be on the go for hours at a time. It also has only a single M.2 slot, so upgrading storage will involve replacement rather than adding a second stick. And the screen only has a 45% NTSC color gamut, so it won’t suffice for color-oriented creative work like photo editing, video grading, and graphic design.

The MSI Cyborg A15 is a good value at $1,249 in late 2026. If your current laptop is on its last leg and may not make it to the next big sales event, consider grabbing it. Or keep shopping with our picks for the best gaming laptops and best budget gaming laptops under $1,000.
