Created by Montreal director Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny) and based on Halifax author Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers books, the very sexy and steamy series became a huge hit with its stars going from unknowns to huge A-listers that now stalk fashion show front rows and walk major red carpets.
Season 2 of Heated Rivalry is currently filming in the Toronto area and is expected to premiere on Crave in spring 2027.
The special theatrical screenings are part of a wider international rollout that will see the series hit theatres across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.
Heated Rivalry isn’t the only top streaming show to get an in-theatre experience. Shows including Stranger Things and Game of Thrones have previously gone from online only to in-person viewing formats through similar screening events.
The hit show will screen at three theatres including:
Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas
Cineplex Cinemas Langley
SilverCity Riverport Cinemas
When will the show be shown at movie theatres?
Heated Rivalry will be screened in two-episode pairings on Nov. 6, 10 and 11 (Episodes 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6), with a full six-episode marathon screening on Nov. 8 at all participating locations.
Tickets will be priced at $24.99 + tax.
Tickets go on sale Oct. 22, with participating locations and showtimes available on Cineplex.com by end of day.
