A special event brought fashion and solidarity together in Javea: Cancer Care Javea’s Chic Boutique was a resounding success on Thursday, October 22, combining an evening of style, socialising and fundraising in support of local neighbours with cancer and their families.
Fashion show brings style and solidarity together
The event took place at the boutique in La Plaza, Javea, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with models showcasing a selection of clothing available at the charity shop. Tickets included the fashion show, cava and nibbles, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy an evening out, all while supporting an important cause close to the community’s heart.
Chic Boutique showcases affordable designer clothing
The event also showed off the clothing available at the Chic Boutique, which specialises in quality second-hand designer fashion, including women’s clothing, shoes, jewellery and handbags. The stock included premium brands and designer labels at affordable prices, coming from donations from kind-hearted members of the community.
Supporting local people affected by cancer
The show was not only a chance for fashion-forward residents to pick up some excellent finds, but also to encourage further support for the charity’s important work. Cancer Care Javea provides practical and emotional support to people affected by cancer, alongside assistance for their families and friends. Its nursing care and advisory service is an important part of its work, helping patients navigate the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
Fundraising helps maintain vital community services
Funds raised through community events and the charity’s shops contribute towards maintaining these services, helping ensure that local people affected by cancer can access support whenever they need it. The organisation regularly brings residents, businesses and volunteers together through fun-filled fundraising activities.
The successful October fashion show combined this approach with a social occasion, bringing the boutique’s clothing to the forefront and highlighting how shopping locally can help support people living with cancer.
While the event celebrated fashion, its wider purpose remained clear: helping Cancer Care Javea continue providing assistance to patients and their loved ones throughout the local community.
