The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the deadline for the registration of National Service Personnel (NSPs) who are yet to complete the process for the 2026/2027 service year to Friday, 23 October 2026.
In a statement issued from its headquarters in Accra on 16 October 2026, the Authority said the new date replaces the earlier deadline of 15 October 2026, which has already passed.
According to the NSA, the extension is intended to give eligible personnel who have not completed their registration an additional opportunity to do so within the revised timeline.
The statement, signed by the Management of the Authority, urged all affected personnel to take advantage of the extension and complete the process before the new deadline to avoid any inconvenience associated with missing it.
The NSA also encouraged personnel to follow the prescribed registration procedures and ensure that all required steps are duly completed, so that their records are not left pending.
The Authority stressed that it remains committed to ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for all eligible National Service Personnel.
The extension means that NSPs who were unable to finish their registration by 15 October now have eight more days to do so. The statement, which was marked “for immediate release” and carries the reference number NSA 4/51/10-26, did not state what consequences personnel who miss the new deadline may face, beyond the “inconvenience” the Authority cautioned against.
Personnel who are yet to register are therefore advised to act early and not wait until the last day, to avoid last-minute challenges that could affect their enrolment for the 2026/2027 service year.
