The Milwaukee Brewers have ended the Los Angeles Dodgers’ bid for a third consecutive World Series championship, sweeping the defending champions in the National League Championship Series. Milwaukee now advances to the World Series for the first time since 1982.
Despite lasting only four games, the series drew record viewership numbers, according to Fox Sports PR.

The Brewers and the Dodgers draw record viewership

Fox Sports PR reported that the 2026 NLCS averaged 7.533 million viewers across Fox, FS1 and Fox Deportes, marking a 77 percent increase over the first four games of the 2025 ALCS on Fox. Game 4 of the NLCS also attracted more than six million viewers on FS1 and Fox Deportes, making it the most watched LCS Game 4 on any network since 2018. That figure was also 107 percent higher than the audience for Game 4 of last year’s ALCS on Fox.
MLB viewership climbed across multiple networks this season. Fox recorded its biggest audience growth since 2021, while NBC enjoyed a strong return to MLB broadcasting in its first season covering the sport since 2000.

With the Milwaukee Brewers facing the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, Fox will have a matchup between two smaller-market teams. That could make it more difficult for the network to match the viewership numbers of the past two Fall Classics, which featured the Dodgers and Yankees.
