Deva Cassel Is Monica Bellucci’s Daughter And Also Her Twin

Monica Bellucci didn’t have to put in an appearance at the Parisian premiere of daughter Deva Cassel’s upcoming movie, The Phantom of the Opera. Why? Because 22-year-old Deva is practically her twin. Genetic lottery winnings aside, mother and daughter also share the same make-up artist: Letizia Carnevale.

Cassel’s look on Monday night – a soft, smoky shadow, fluffed up brows, and a neutral lip to enhance her pale green Dior strapless gown – chimed with Bellucci’s go-to look from the ’90s. And much like her bombshell mum, Cassel has become something of a runway regular since her 2021 debut – even making an appearance on the Vogue World: Milano catwalk last month. “For me, posing is always an extraordinary experience, I can transform myself in an instant,” she previously told Vogue Italia.

But just as Bellucci ultimately combined modelling with acting – with past projects including Bram Stoker’s Dracula and L’Appartement – so too has Cassel. In addition to starring as dancer Anastasia in The Phantom of the Opera alongside Romain Duris and Julien de Saint Jean, Cassel and Omar Sy have lent their voices to Audible’s French edition of Dracula.

At just 22, Cassel already has her mum’s ability to command a red carpet. Her own future as a screen bombshell seems assured.
