Former Philadelphia Eagles star Terrell Owens called out an NFL analyst after his recent apology for controversial on-air comments about quarterback Jalen Hurts' medical situation.
Earlier this week, Hurts was ruled out for the remainder of the Eagles' season due to his diagnosis of a deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli.
The diagnosis came after a series of medical evaluations when Hurts sought treatment for a cleat injury sustained in the Eagles' game against the Los Angeles Rams. Doctors then discovered a blood clot in his leg.
He played in his team's Oct. 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, which the Eagles lost. Soon after news came out about Hurts' blood clot situation and his being ruled out of the Eagles game against the Carolina Panthers, NFL Network's Michael Robinson, a former NFL player, made his controversial on-air comments.

Robinson has since apologized on social media to Hurts, Hurts' family, and the Eagles regarding his on-air comments. However, former Eagles player Terrell Owens recently responded to his apology, demanding more.
"Say your apology ON AIR as you did the DISRESPECT! This is where getting TOO CUTE with the commentary GOES WRONG!!" Owens wrote in his social media response.
Commenters on X had strong reactions to seeing Owens call out Robinson, with many supporting his opinion of the NFL analyst.
"Yes, if somebody can disrespect another player on air, he is capable of apologize on air," a commenter wrote.
Another said, "Agreed, this take was God awful and downright disrespectful."
Others commented, "He shouldn't be on the air anymore" and "He should be fired."
Robinson made his initial comments before the Eagles and Hurts' agent released a statement Monday about the official medical diagnosis. In that statement, they revealed that Hurts was expected to be out for the remainder of the season to receive treatment after the discovery of blood clots in his lungs.
"Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery. We anticipate that he will have the opportunity to resume contact football activities when off the blood thinners. In the meantime, he will remain active around the team and continue to condition. More importantly, we anticipate that he will have no long-term effects," part of the statement said, according to the NFL.
Robinson played fullback in the NFL from 2006 to 2013 with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. He was a member of Seattle's team that won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014, and currently appears as one of CBS Sports' on-air analysts.
It's become a sports media world where hot takes and controversy generate attention for networks, personalities, and platforms. However, Robinson's subsequent apology underscores the seriousness of the situation, particularly given Hurts' medical diagnosis and the potential implications for the Eagles quarterback's life and career.
