(ANSA) - ROME, 20 OTT - A truck strike against surging gas prices in Calabria will continue until October 27 the Fedralog group said Tuesday after Sicilian haulers called off their strike after a meeting with Transport Minister Matteo Salvini met their demands.
"We will continue the strike until October 27, by which time Minister Salvini must inform us of the solutions or commitments he intends to pursue for the road haulage sector," Mario Pansini, the Calabria representative for Fedralog, told ANSA following a meeting held this afternoon at the Prefecture in Milan.
The federation declared that it is "not satisfied, as the discussions yielded no new commitments from the government—only the release of previously allocated funds, specifically 2025 resources that we had been waiting for for months," he added.
