An accelerator programme is developing a new generation of health technology business leaders in Yorkshire.
Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire has launched its third cohort, welcoming 30 entrepreneurs to its Start-Up and Scale-Up programmes at an event bringing together founders, partners and stakeholders in Leeds.
A spokesman said: “The programme’s continued delivery follows £4.5 million of investment secured in 2025 from West Yorkshire Combined Authority, via the UK Government’s Investment Zone, supporting the growth of health innovation across West Yorkshire. “
Dr Neville Young, Director of Enterprise and Innovation at Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our third cohort of innovators to Propel Healthtech West Yorkshire. The quality and ambition demonstrated throughout the selection process underlines the strength of talent working to improve health and care.
“ As we enter the programme’s second year, we’re building on the momentum established with West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the partnerships that make this support possible.”
