On Oct. 20, at roughly 5:55 a.m., RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a crash in the 1600 block of Highway 2.
The driver of a southbound vehicle left the road and struck trees and a power pole, according to an Oct. 22 media release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. It said the vehicle, a blue Volkswagen Rabbit, was reported stolen from Stewiacke.
The driver and only occupant, a youth from Brookfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was closed while a collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
Colchester County District RCMP continues to investigate.
