C-Care Uganda has completed its acquisition of Kampala-based Roswell Hospital, adding 30 beds and strengthening its capacity in women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility services as the healthcare provider expands its national network.
C-Care Uganda has completed the acquisition of Roswell Hospital in Kampala, expanding its presence in the capital and bringing its national network to six hospitals and 17 clinics.
The transaction, finalised on September 8, 2026, brings the 30-bed multi-specialty facility in Kampala’s Central Business District (CBD) into the C-Care network.
Roswell Hospital serves more than 30,000 patients annually, with a focus on women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility services.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen C-Care’s capacity in specialised reproductive and maternal healthcare while giving the group a more established presence in Kampala’s busy commercial centre.
C-Care said the next phase will focus on integrating Roswell Hospital into its wider network, improving operational efficiency and sharing resources to enhance patient care across its facilities.
The integration will also provide an opportunity to build on Roswell Hospital’s existing clinical services while expanding its operations under the C-Care network.
Azhar Sundhoo, chief executive officer of C-Care East Africa, said the acquisition was an important step in the organisation’s regional growth strategy.
“This is an important step in our growth strategy, reinforcing our commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in Uganda. We are pleased to welcome Roswell Hospital into the C-Care family.
“This acquisition strengthens our presence in Kampala and adds to our capabilities in women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility. We look forward to building on the hospital’s strong foundation and the opportunities this creates for our patients, teams, and partners,” Sundhoo said.
The acquisition adds to C-Care Uganda’s existing healthcare facilities as the group seeks to expand access to specialised medical services and strengthen its service delivery across the country.
