The Bulldogs took their only lead on the opening drive of the game before the Broncos answered with a long touchdown run. Jayden Mandal threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for a score while Ezekiel Avit caught two scoring passes and finished with 96 yards on six catches.
San Diego State took a 66-14 pummeling at Oregon State last week, trailing 38-7 at the half and falling to 1-1 in Pac-12 play. The Aztecs had the ball for just 17:42, getting outgained 651-147 while surrendering 35 first downs and getting only six. Jayden Denegal finished just 5-of-19 for 78 yards and a touchdown before getting pulled when the game got out of reach.
