The Sindh cabinet has approved reforms to the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), including changes to the age limit and number of attempts allowed for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE).
According to a provincial government spokesperson, the decisions were made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the CM House.
Under the approved reforms, the maximum age limit for the CCE has been increased from 30 to 33 years. The cabinet has also raised the number of attempts candidates can make from three to five.
Additionally, the cabinet approved lowering the minimum passing threshold for CCE 2026 from 40% to 33%.
In another decision, the provincial government approved computer-based testing for examinations consisting of a single paper.
The changes are intended to revise the SPSC examination process, giving candidates more opportunities to appear in the CCE while introducing a new testing method for single-paper examinations.
