Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that Ankara will continue to support Riyadh amid attacks by Yemen’s Houthis, the Turkish presidential administration said, Reuters reports.
Also, Erdogan strongly condemned the Houthi attacks and expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia will be able to overcome the difficulties it faces. In August, NATO member Turkey and nuclear-armed Pakistan signed a joint defense agreement, under which an attack on one of the parties is considered an attack on both countries.
