Gould will step down as the head football coach after the conclusion of the 2026 season, the school said.
The 18-year NFL veteran made the decision to spend more time with his family, according to the school's statement.
"We are grateful to Coach Gould for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to our student-athletes," Ryan Aiello, president of Saint Viator High School, said in a statement. "We appreciate his contributions to Saint Viator football, respect his decision to prioritize his family and wish him all the best."
Gould spent 10 years with the Bears, where he's widely considered the best kicker in franchise history. He finished his career with the San Francisco 49ers.
In 2024, he coached at Rolling Meadows High School.
