The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman issued an official travel advisory notifying its citizens about the introduction of new travel rules by the Philippines.
As per the guidelines announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, the Philippines will launch a new electronic visa system.
With the new consular notice issued by the ministry, travelers are now able to make their applications via the official Philippine e-visa portal. When granted, the e-visa is valid for presentation, either electronically or in a paper format, upon entry at port of entry stations and there is no longer need for a physical visa sticker in the passport.
Key Travel and Visa Guidelines
The electronic entry document application is open to Omani applicants who want to apply online through the official website evisa.gov.ph.
The redesigned e-visa program will run concurrently with the current machine-readable visa (MRV) sticker system in effect.
The e-visa program will be used for temporary visitor classifications 9(a) and other classifications as appropriate.
The ministry highlighted that electronic visas aren’t subjected to conversion into another status or visa within the country, neither the stay duration is extendable.
Visa & other Entry Requirements: Anyone traveling to this country must hold a passport which is valid for at least six months beyond their planned date of entry. It is advised all visitors to the country be covered with full health insurance.
