Michigan State football lost a heartbreaker on Saturday evening, and the "Talkin' Spartans" crew was there to break it down afterwards.
Michigan State rallied from down 17 points to force overtime, but a game-winning two-point conversion came up short as the Spartans fell to Illinois by the final score of 38-37. The Spartans were down 17-0 early but fought back to tie it up in the final minutes. Michigan State, though, was unable to convert a two-point conversion trick play to end the game.
With the loss, Michigan State drops to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in Big Ten play. The Spartans have now lost four straight games and seem unlikely to reach a bowl game for a fifth straight year.
