Stock Market LIVE: GIFT Nifty signals tepid open; Asian markets down; Brent falls 1.5%

Stock Market LIVE: The Nifty50 and the Sensex may open on a muted note with a negative bias on Monday morning.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Monday, Oct 19, 2026: The GIFT Nifty, an early indicator of the Nifty50’s performance, was trading flat with a negative bias. The futures were quoted at 23,112.

Asia-Pacific markets were trading sharply lower, mirroring moves on Wall Street last Friday as concerns about the rate of growth in AI build-out weighed on investors’ minds. Japan’s Nikkei 225 and South Korea’s Kospi fell 1.15 per cent and 0.12 per cent, respectively.

Last Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 settled 0.34 per cent and 1.09 per cent lower, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite ended 2.14 per cent down. 

Brent crude fell in the Asia session after the US waived sanctions and tariffs on Russian oil, easing supply concerns. The December futures were quoted at 108.10, down 1.5 per cent.  

Gold and silver futures were trading 0.26 per cent and 0.35 per cent higher, respectively. 

Q2 Results Today 

Bajaj Finance, Bhansali Engineering Polymers, Delta Corp, Elevate Campuses, Gallantt Ispat, HFCL, Hindustan Zinc, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), Jaiprakash Power Ventures, Just Dial, L&T Technology Services, Piramal Finance, SML Mahindra, Sobha, Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem, UltraTech Cement, Union Bank of India, Waaree Renewable Technologies will release their second-quarter (Q2FY27) results on Monday.

In the primary market, Tonbo Imaging India, Zetwerk, Bonfiglioli Transmissions, Sahajanand Medical Technologies, and Shellz India’s IPOs will enter the final day of subscription.
