DONETSK, October 18. /TASS/. A Ukrainian military unit numbering around 2,000 troops has been destroyed in Dobropolye after the entire force became trapped in the city, TASS reported on Sunday, citing the reconnaissance chief of the 110th Brigade of Russia's Battlegroup Center, who goes by the call sign "Udav" (Boa).
"The unit consisted of about 2,000 personnel. As of now, it has been completely destroyed," the reconnaissance chief said.
According to the serviceman, the initial Ukrainian force in Dobropolye did not exceed 1,300 troops. The Ukrainian command later reinforced the unit, only to effectively abandon them after they were encircled.
