DAEJEON — Korea Forest Service Administrator Park Eun-sik visited a pine wilt disease control site in Ihwa-ri, Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, on the 23rd, where he received a briefing on the status and plans for the control project and discussed more effective eradication measures.
Park said close cooperation between the central and local governments, along with joint responses among cities and provinces, matters more than anything else in pine wilt disease control efforts. He asked officials to step up eradication work once the area is designated as a special control zone for pine wilt disease.
