HOMEOWNERS in Andalucia can apply from today for grants covering up to 65% of the cost of making their homes more energy efficient.
Applications open on October 22, and individual homeowners, communities, self-employed workers and businesses can all apply.
The €20.77 million scheme, co-financed by EU funds, is run by the Andalucian Energy Agency.

The grants cover improvements to a building’s insulation, heating and cooling, hot water or lighting.
To qualify, the work must raise the building’s energy rating by at least one letter and cut its energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
For homeowners, the grant covers up to 65%, if the work includes renewable energy or is carried out through an energy services company.

Solar panels, solar thermal systems, biomass and heat pumps can be included as part of an efficiency project, as long as they make up no more than half of the total cost.
There is also a separate grant for new solar equipment, which must include battery storage. It covers 55% of the cost for individuals and small businesses.
Individuals can claim for work that has already started, as long as it began on or after May 1, 2025. Businesses and other applicants cannot have spent any money before applying.
The scheme is aimed at substantial projects. The minimum grant is €6,000 for solar installations and €10,000 for all other types of work.
That means an efficiency project would need to cost around €20,000 to qualify.
Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis rather than through a competitive process.
Applications are made online, and the scheme stays open until September 30, 2027, or until the money runs out.
