With the alleged sting operation targeting former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah continuing to dominate the state's political discourse, KPCC president B.K. Speaking to reporters here on Friday (October 23, 2026), Mr. Hariprasad said Ms. Alva would be asked to explain her alleged involvement in the sting operation.
Congress sources said the party was considering expelling her for allegedly embarrassing the government and giving the Opposition ammunition to target the it. Ms. Alva had previously served as the chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights during the first term of the Siddaramaiah government in 2015.
