Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have taken to social media in numbers on Wednesday evening, to sing the praises of a member of the club’s midfield ranks.
The player in question? Arda Güler.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
As things stand in Spain’s capital, Los Blancos find themselves headed towards another three-point haul, leading Leipzig by two gols to nil.
The aforementioned Arda was afforded a starting berth for the evening, just rewards for a wonderful opening goal en route to Real Madrid’s weekend victory over Sevilla.
And safe to say, the Turk has since fully rewarded the faith showcased by head coach José Mourinho. After laying on the assist for Bernardo Silva’s opener, Arda then turned goalscorer himself during the 2nd-half.
And such excellence has not gone at all unappreciated on the part of his side’s fanbase, with some of a Real Madrid persuasion having gone as far as to label the 21-year-old Los Merengues’ very best player.
