The Association of Creators and Publishers of Sri Lanka (ACPOSL) has officially announced that the proposed licensing framework and associated licensing fees for music creators and publishers are to be temporarily suspended until its Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for November 2026.
According to a press release issued by ACPOSL yesterday (Oct. 12), their Board of Directors has reached this decision after considering feedback and concerns raised by various stakeholders in the entertainment industry over the past few weeks.
ACPOSL also apologised for any inconvenience the situation may have caused and expressed regret over any statements made at press events that may have inadvertently caused offence or hurt to its stakeholders.
