RASUWA: Tourist arrivals have started increasing in Langtang, a popular tourist destination in Rasuwa, following improvements in transport access. The opening of a temporary Bailey bridge over the Falakhu River has made travel to the area easier, encouraging more visitors to return.
Nima Lama, proprietor of the Mountain View hotel in Langtang, said tourist arrivals had increased since transportation services resumed smoothly. He added that the improvement had boosted the morale of tourism entrepreneurs in the area.
Langtang can be reached from the district headquarters, Dhunche, after approximately two days of walking. An alternative route currently connects Dhunche to Langtang via Thulo Bharkhu, Sano Bharkhu, Brabal, Thulo Syafru, Desh, Bambo, Rimiche and Lama Hotel.
Located in Ward No. 4 of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality within Langtang National Park, the area is a popular destination for trekkers and nature lovers.
Langtang Ward Chairperson Dundhu Jyangwa Tamang said tourists had begun returning to the area despite the disruption caused by the Bhotekoshi flood disaster on August 26.
