The Intelligentsia Machinery (IM) has congratulated Seyi Tinubu on his birthday, acknowledging his entrepreneurial activities, philanthropic engagements and advocacy for youth empowerment in Nigeria.
The organisation conveyed its goodwill message through a statement jointly signed by Omoba Kenneth Aigbegbele and Comrade Umar Farouk on behalf of its resource persons, members and senior executives.
In the statement, the organisation described Tinubu as a young entrepreneur and public figure whose activities span business, humanitarian service and youth development.
It said the birthday provided an opportunity to reflect on his professional journey and encourage him to sustain initiatives capable of delivering lasting benefits to Nigerians.
The organisation noted that entrepreneurship, philanthropy and responsible public engagement could contribute to national development when supported by transparency, accountability and measurable outcomes.
Business and entrepreneurial development
The Intelligentsia Machinery highlighted Tinubu’s educational background, noting that he studied Business Administration at the University of Maryland in the United States and Law at the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2013.
It also acknowledged his association with Loatsad Promomedia, a company operating in Nigeria’s out-of-home advertising industry.
According to the organisation, private-sector enterprises play an important role in economic growth through job creation, innovation, professional development and the provision of opportunities for young Nigerians.
It encouraged Tinubu to continue supporting initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and responsible business practices, particularly within Nigeria’s creative and commercial sectors.
Commends philanthropic activities
The organisation also acknowledged Tinubu’s association with philanthropic activities through the Noella Foundation and other humanitarian interventions.
It referenced reported healthcare support initiatives, including the Drug Banks for Indigent Patients initiative launched at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Kaduna State in August 2024.
The statement also cited reported humanitarian assistance to communities affected by flooding in Borno State in 2024.
According to the organisation, such interventions underscore the importance of partnerships between philanthropists, businesses, civil society organisations and public institutions in addressing social challenges.
It urged the continued expansion of humanitarian programmes, with emphasis on transparency, equitable access and measurable improvements in the lives of beneficiaries.
The organisation added that the effectiveness of philanthropy should be assessed not only by the resources committed but also by the lasting benefits delivered to individuals and communities.
Calls for greater investment in youth empowerment
The Intelligentsia Machinery identified youth development as another important area in which Tinubu could continue to make contributions.
It noted that Nigeria’s youthful population required access to quality education, vocational training, mentorship, digital skills, business support and sustainable employment opportunities.
The organisation also acknowledged the Seyi Tinubu Empowerment Project (STEP), describing youth-focused initiatives as potential platforms for promoting entrepreneurship and economic inclusion.
It encouraged the development of structured programmes that provide young people with practical skills, business knowledge, mentorship and access to opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
According to the statement, youth empowerment programmes should reach beneficiaries across different regions and socioeconomic backgrounds to ensure that more Nigerians can participate in national development.
The organisation expressed the hope that young beneficiaries would become entrepreneurs, employers, innovators and community leaders capable of contributing to Nigeria’s economic and social progress.
Highlights public responsibility and accountability
The organisation further observed that public visibility and influence come with responsibilities, particularly for individuals whose activities attract national attention.
It said public confidence could be strengthened through openness, accountability, constructive engagement and demonstrable results.
While acknowledging Tinubu’s public profile in business and philanthropy, the organisation encouraged him to sustain investments in social inclusion, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship and youth participation in governance.
It also stressed the importance of ensuring that opportunities created through private-sector and humanitarian initiatives were accessible to people across geographical and economic boundaries.
The statement maintained that Nigeria’s development required collaboration among government institutions, businesses, civil society organisations, philanthropists, professional bodies and young people.
It added that combining private-sector innovation with humanitarian interventions could help address social challenges and create opportunities for families and communities.

As part of its birthday message, the Intelligentsia Machinery wished Tinubu good health, wisdom, peace, personal happiness and continued professional progress.
The organisation expressed the hope that the coming years would provide greater opportunities for him to expand his contributions to healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and community development.
